The Lions Karoo to Coast Mountain Bike Challenge is one of South Africa’s premier cycling events – a 100 km off-road race from Uniondale to Knysna via the spectacular Prince Alfred’s Pass. In 2025, the event takes place on Sunday, 21 September, with registration on 19–20 September at the Uniondale Showgrounds, alongside the brand-new Wine & Wheels Expo.

With over 4 500 riders expected, entries are already in high demand. The route covers nearly 96 km of rugged climbs and forest descents, making it a true bucket-list ride for MTB, gravel, and E-bike enthusiasts.
